The Mexican International Conference on Artificial Intelligence (MICAI) celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2026, consolidating its position as the most important artificial intelligence event in Mexico and one of the most relevant in Latin America.
Since its founding in 2000, MICAI has annually brought together researchers, students, professionals, and industry experts to share the latest advances in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and related fields.
This special edition will take place from November 2nd to 6th, 2026, in Chihuahua, Mexico, hosted by Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Chihuahua, which also celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026.
France: Guest Country of Honor
As part of the Mexico-France Bicentennial celebration, MICAI 2026 will welcome France as its Guest Country of Honor, turning the conference into a bridge for international cooperation in artificial intelligence.
This collaboration is supported by the Embassy of France in Mexico and the México-Francia 2026 program, commemorating 200 years of diplomatic relations between both nations.

MICAI is the Mexican International Conference on Artificial Intelligence, organized by the Sociedad Mexicana de Inteligencia Artificial (SMIA). For 25 years it has been the leading academic and professional AI forum in Mexico, bringing together participants from around the world.
Paper Submission Deadline
Researchers and academics interested in presenting their work have until June 14th, 2026 to submit their full papers or abstracts, which may be presented orally or as a poster during the conference.
